Puppy Training

For puppies aged 8 - 24 weeks

Learning how to train your puppy and work together will set you both up for life. Your puppy is learning and growing rapidly; now is the time to guide him towards the behaviours you want, allowing him to live happily alongside you.

Bespoke training will cover the aspects of puppy behaviour that are most important to you and your lifestyle and can include:

  • Socialisation with people and other dogs

  • How to stop puppy mouthing

  • How to prevent food and toy guarding

  • Handling (vet visits etc.)

  • Jumping up

  • Leave it

  • Toilet Training

  • Crate training

  • Travelling by car

  • Collar and lead work

  • Beginning the basic commands e.g. sit/down/recall/settle

  • Feeding and equipment advice

  • Rewards and treats explained

Pre-Vaccination Home Visits:

It is never too early to start socialising, handling and training with your pup. Many people don’t even think about these things until their pup is fully vaccinated at 12 weeks, and for some dogs, that is just too late.

I can visit you in your pup’s safe surroundings and work on the things that are the most important during this formative period.

Topics covered are:

  • Toilet training

  • Sleeping through the night

  • Crate training

  • Handling

  • Collar and lead work

  • Puppy play biting

  • Ensuring effective socialisation

  • Basic manners

  • Getting used to the car

Training sessions are charged at the basic training rate of £70.00 per hour.

A travel cost of £0.45 per mile will also be charged.
