Canine Behaviour

Retrospective problem solving

Some dogs need extra help which goes beyond the realms of that which could be described as training.

I can assess your dog, liaise with your Veterinary Surgeon, advise on a course of modification protocols, provide you with a full written report and as many back up sessions or telephone support as needed.

Examples of behaviours requiring modification include:

  • Dog to dog aggression

  • Dog to human fear/ uncertainty/ aggression

  • Pet to pet aggression

  • Chasing behaviours (livestock/ bicycles/ joggers)

  • Obsessive behaviours (fixating/ air snapping/ licking/ pacing)

  • Separation issues

  • Destructive behaviours

  • Guarding behaviours (people/ toys/ food)

Some behaviour consultations will need to be preceded by a veterinary visit in order to rule out any physiological reason for the behaviour, such as ill health or pain.

All sessions are held by a qualified behaviourist and are charged at the basic training rate of £60.00 per hour.

A travel cost of £0.45 per mile will also be charged.
